Thank you for using clear. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, how we use it, and — just as importantly — what we never do with it.
clear. requests access to your photo library solely to display photos for you to review. All photo analysis (identifying screenshots, burst shots, duplicates, and old photos) happens entirely on your device using Apple's PhotoKit framework. No photos, thumbnails, or metadata are ever uploaded to any server.
clear. stores the following data locally on your device only, using Apple's standard UserDefaults and on-device file storage:
None of this data ever leaves your device. We have no servers that receive or store any of it.
clear. offers an optional Pro subscription purchased exclusively through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We never see or store your payment details. All billing, receipt validation, and subscription management is handled end-to-end by Apple. For payment questions, refunds, or disputes, contact Apple Support.
clear. is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If we ever change how we handle your data, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the App Store update release notes.

Legal
By downloading or using clear., you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use clear. on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service.
clear. only accesses your photo library to present photos for your review. You retain full ownership of all photos in your library. Deletion decisions are made solely by you; once you confirm permanent deletion via Apple's PhotoKit API, those photos are removed from your device in the same way as deleting from the native Photos app.
clear. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription available via Apple In-App Purchase. Subscription pricing, renewal terms, and cancellation are governed by Apple's standard subscription policies. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID Settings.
clear. is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. Use the app at your own discretion; always confirm before committing a permanent deletion.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of clear., including but not limited to accidental photo deletion.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes are subject to Apple's dispute resolution process as described in the App Store Terms.
Your use of clear. is also governed by Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA). In the event of a conflict between these terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA shall prevail.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
